I got this book because it was on Oprah's Book Club*. I guess it's one of the first non-fiction that I enjoyed reading. When I finished it, I wanted to share it with my mum, so I started translating it by hand with large writing so she could easily read it. Meant to give it as a present. But I stopped an eight way at chapter one :p
When you hear me speak, you hear my thoughts. When you read my writing, you know my soul. And that's about how it feels like with this book, like the author has really bared her soul, and when one does that, we can't help but love her. The way Liz slowly learns to love herself so completely is one of the things that I really like about this book. Join her on a delicious eating, praying, and loving journey - then tell me if you don't want to go to Naples just to eat pizza.
*I've taken Oprah's recommendation several times now - what she has chosen personally is usually good. What I've found on O magazine, however, was a disappointment. I'm planning to try and pick up one more title, however. I'll let you know.
